Selection Committee

The primary role of the DesignEgg Selection Committee is to review and score applications.

This esteemed panel of independent arts, education, and business professionals from across the nation chooses Creative Service Award recipients based on the excellence of the organization, its impact on others, and financial need. The committee also provides general advisory support to the DesignEgg project.

Cat Celebrezze is Founder and Principal at Supercargo Consulting, a full service creative and estate collection management consulting firm with offices in both New York and Los Angeles.  Supercargo is a resource for collections involving fine art, wine, books, photography, audio-visual material, furniture/decorative arts, and more. Cat also works as CEO and Executive Producer for all music releases by East Meets West Music, the official recording label of The Ravi Shankar Foundation, including Ravi Shankar’s Grammy-winning CD, The Living Room Sessions Part 1. Cat holds a PhD in Sociology from The New School for Social research, an MA from Ohio University, and a BA from John Carroll University.
Mark Sutton

Mark Sutton

Mark Sutton is a 20 year performing veteran in improvisation, theater, voice-over and film. He is a founding member of Chicago’s acclaimed Annoyance Theater and a teacher in their training program. Mark is also a performer and facilitator in the corporate division of The Second City. He travels the United States performing special shows for companies and also teaching workshops in how to apply the ideas of improvisation in the workplace to enhance communication, teambuilding, and creativity. From 2006 – 2010 Mark served as the Artistic Director for the Chicago Improv Festival—he returned to that role for the 15th Anniversary of the Festival in 2012.

Terri Lonier

Terri Lonier is recognized as one of the country’s leading experts on entrepreneurship and microbusiness. The author of five business books, she has served as a strategic advisor for companies such as Apple, Microsoft, HP, Bank of America, and Visa. She received her PhD in Business History from NYU and is Dean of the Career + Co-op Center at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she leads a team focused on helping art students make the transition from student to professional. Her work brings together her training in art and design (BFA, MFA), her deep experience with digital technology, and her interest in the impact of visual culture on business management and strategy.

Tiffany Hensley

Boulder, CO

Once an international competitor, Tiffany Hensley is now a professional rock climber-turned-businesswoman who works with Pro Climbers International. Tiffany traveled in a Dodge Sprinter for one year to teach clinics and visit programs as a part of Project WallE, a project that now boosts rock climbing non-profits. She is on the Board of Directors for Escalando Fronteras in Monterrey, Mexico, where she works with a team to form sustainable, eco-conscious, and empowering micro-communities for at-risk youth. She is an Ambassador for Climb’N’Conquer, a youth outreach program in Vancouver, and the women’s climbing group Grrl’s On Rocks in Mexico. Tiffany works as Team Manager and Social Media Coordinator at Mad Rock Climbing.

Sarah West Ervin

Fort Smith, AR
With a social media following of over 500,000, Sarah West Ervin has built a non-traditional career as a fibers-based maker, blogger, and web presence consultant. After studying at the Glasgow School of Art and Hendrix College, she received her Masters in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago. She has thread together varied professional experiences in the arts—from arts & crafts instructor and costume designer to marketing director and business owner. Having collaborated with Etsy, Renegade Craft Fair, Dabble, and Scoutmob on social media and craft events, she strives to use her large network and growing experience to empower independent makers toward economic success.
